Our Mission: Joyful, Balanced Relationships

I have been fortunate to have had many roles including:

  • high school autism teacher
  • behavior support professional for title 19 waiver
  • positive behavior support facilitator for Marshall University’s Autism Training Center
  • board certified behavior analyst for students k-12 in Kanawha County Schools
  • board certified behavior analyst for preschool students in Kanawha County Schools

These various positions have helped me learn which aspects of service I love the most.

I established Raising Up Rockstars because I am passionate about helping parents create joyful homes, free of severe problem behavior. My heart also belongs to schools. From my work as a classroom teacher and then later as a school-based behavior analyst, I know there are proven methods to make a positive difference in every classroom!

There are no bad kids.1

Problem behavior is a form of communication

It is imperative we listen to ‘actually autistic’ voices and apologize when harm was done, even if it was unintentional.
